I think we're all in desperate need of HOPE, of a reason to believe that things will get better, that the effort we've invested -- in our jobs, health, families, future -- will be rewarded with growth, happiness, and maybe even a rainbow. I've been thinking about where in my own life I turn when I need a ray of light, and how to bring that to the people I encounter, personally and professionally. The answer is to keep the "why" front and center. That's a fairly simple question, for me, and probably for most people. In my experience, generally people do the things they do because it helps people, in whatever way they're called to. That so many people can nod their heads to that -- yes, they do what they do because it helps someone -- is the greatest reason for hope of all.

Happy creating!

In this exploration, Asia Ewart confronts what it means to be a childfree woman. Why must a woman without children be assumed to be sad? How, in fact, might we show a broader, nuanced, more representative life?
