Raleigh is a very progressive city and it's very expensive for people to live here that are working 2-3 jobs just to make. Even though the states minimum wage is only $7.25 an hour, there have been cities across the country that have sent minimum wages to a higher wage to help the residence inside the city make it in the city was more prosperous and help people get out of poverty.
