Help!!!! On 5-18-23, my daughter, 15 mth old grandbaby, and myself were the victims of a Hit & Run on New Bern Ave. We were in a blue BMW. The subject was driving a beige Crystler. The male subject was wearing a dark blue hoodie, jeans, and a beige cap. I do not have a legal name for the male subject. I did exchange words with the male subject. So I know what he looks like. With the help of the community, I got his picture. What I don't have is his legal name. I only have his street name. Surprising to me, the police are no help. They wouldn't even lift finger prints because they said the vehicle was not reported stolen. Basically, the subject totaled my vehicle, hops in a white Challeger with tented windows, and fled the scene with a brown skinned female, wear a light brown tee shirt, light colored jeans and high top white and maybe brown sneakers. The female has many distinct edges tats. My daughter is left with back pain. The medical bills are rolling in. I called my lawyer to see what could be done. They said that without the name of the person who hit me, I'm basically screwed. I can't even sue the female who helped him escape.
