Today, Catherine Worthington and her precious Bella were attacked by two Rottweilers at the entrance of Mingo Creek trail off Hodge road. We are asking for any information you may have seen if you were driving by. The dogs belong to a young Caucasian couple, driving a new black jeep Cherokee. Also, the (couple with Rottweilers)were coming from Widewaters/planters walk end of the trail towards hodge road-Bella and Catherine were crossing hodge headed home from the Neuse/Princeton manor side. While one of the dogs was dragging Catherine, as she was trying to get her Bella, the girl said go scoop him up (apparently they know how vicious they are)…and they took off taking tags off their car so she couldn't get a plate number. Two, very nice African American young girls stopped to help Catherine and Bella, thank goodness. Bella is currently at Wake emergency vet sedated, waiting to have surgery-we are hopeful she will make it, but Catherine knows with little dogs, it's dangerous to have suffered the trauma Bella did today. She did file a police report, and sadly they didn't seem interested in pursuing this. So please please, if you have any information or saw this couple leave from the parking area there on the side please let us know. It is beyond me that someone would leave a bloodied human and dog on the side of the road. The dogs were loaded in vehicle, but apparently were not shut in good, and that is when they attacked.
