· LGBT youth are up to 6 times more likely to attempt suicide than heterosexual youth.

· Up to 40% of the homeless youth population identify as LGBT.
· 97% of transgender people suffer workplace harassment and discrimination.
· Bullying, name-calling, and homophobic remarks are commonplace in high schools.
· Sexual orientation bias accounts for almost 18% of all hate crimes reported nationally.
· LGBT seniors have a higher rate of isolation than others among the elderly population.
· Families of LGBT people of color are less likely to be supportive
