Thank You! Response and Resources for and within the LGBTQ Community in Times of Natural Disasters

On Saturday, May 28th at 12:30pm a Community Forum will be held at the LGBT Center of Raleigh's new location on Hillsborough Street to share and address concerns of the Triangle's LGBTQ Community in times of disaster.

This conversation stems from the number of LGBTQ residents affected by most recent tornadoes to have hit communities in the greater  Raleigh area.

The primary concern is where to turn for non-discriminatory advice and assistance following a natural disaster. This forum will also allow for the identification of resources and ally agencies to meet needs brought on by any future disasters.

Conversations on this subject will include Triangle Area Residents, State Representative Marcus Brandon, Ed More - Training Chief, Cary Fire/Rescue Department & Community Emergency Response Team and representatives from local agencies.

Please RSVP to AkilCampell@gmail.com providing your name and email address if you will be able to attend, as well as any specific items you would like added to an agenda.

The LGBT Center of Raleigh is located at 411 Hillsborough Street, Raleigh, NC 27603 and we will be meeting at 12:30pm.

Sincerely,

Akil
