My daughter have a pit that she rescued from the shelter 4 years ago and he is now 11 years old. When she took him in all his teeth were knocked out and his left ear drum was busted so he cannot hear out of that ear. ( we believe he was used as a fighting dog)He is a old pit that want to be rubbed all day. He is definitely not friendly with other dogs . She is being deployed and now need to place him permanently. I suggested that since he is old and a vet did tell her he have arthritis in his legs that she should let him go to doggy heaven. She has PTSD from the military and she used him as her service pet. She is leaving Wednesday and I have to place him.
