Event Description:
Every Labor Day weekend, close to 60,000 people make the journey to St. Louis to experience Big Muddy Blues Festival, the region's largest Blues music event. Located here on Laclede's Landing, just north of the Gateway Arch, the festival's backdrop is the Big Muddy itself – the river that inspired so many Blues songs and the musicians who wrote them. At least two ReverbNation artists or bands will be selected to perform at this year’s festival. Artist/Band Compensation: Negotiable. Depending on the artists draw, some accommodations will be provided. Performance Details: Sound, lights, and staging will be provided. Depending of the stage assignment some or all backline will be provided. Selection Criteria: Originality, Draw, Video Performance, Marketability, Over likeability, and Songwriting About Big Muddy Blues Festival: Big Muddy Blues Festival is a Labor Day Weekend tradition in Downtown St. Louis. 2013 marks the 18th year of the festival. It is because of the festival’s great fans that it has been able to continue to grow into a nationally recognized event. Last year fans attended Big Muddy all the way from the United Kingdom and South America.
