****Student seeks UNC and Duke alums for oral history interviews. Jess McDonald, an undergraduate student at Elon University, is looking for Duke and UNC alumni who are LGBTQIA and willing to be interviewed as part of a thesis about the history of LGBTQ life at Duke and UNC. The interviews can be conducted in person, via Skype, or via telephone between now and September. The AIDSWALK+RIDE returns on Saturday, May 21 for another exhilarating day
of cycling, riding, advocacy, testing, and FUN! It's not too late to sign

and plan to spend the day with us during the Festival. Children will delight in the Kids Rodeo, where they can pig out on cotton candy while participating in tons of great activities. Drag Bingo will offer a heated, hilarious siesta to the day's activities.

****Durham - All hail the Queen. June 4th, 2011 a new beaver queen will be crowned. This year's theme is Streampunk. Who will take this year's title? Will it be Fur Pelton John, Muddy Waters, Magonolia Beaver, Uwanna Peace Abeava or Cherry Cherry Bang Bang? The family friendly beaver drag event takes place at Durham's Duke Park Meadow and is a fund-raiser for Ellerbe Creek Watershed Association. Clean wetlands makes beavers happy.
