About goMad Festival: Spread over three long days the goMad festival is an annual extravaganza that will showcase an eclectic mix of traditional and contemporary music, arts, dance and other performing arts; cutting across genres, from across and beyond the country. The festival unfolds at different destinations every two years. This year, the festival unfolds in Ooty, an idyllic spot that is nothing short of a veritable fairyland, and The Fern hills Palace, a 150-year-old heritage palace situated 6,000 ft above sea level and spread across 50 acres, forms the verdant backdrop of the festival. They strongly believe that music and the arts have the power to move people brightly, to overcome any barrier and come together. At the festival you will rub shoulders with some of the most interesting people around, otherwise known as the 'mad kind'. Anybody who makes it to the festival will surely leave feeling refreshed, revived and inspired.
