Event Description:
The Malibu Music Awards & Festival began in 2008 as the fund raising arm of the Malibu Symphony. Since then, the Malibu Music Awards has become the premiere music event in Malibu, honoring and supporting musicians, songwriters, and vocalists. Major recording artists are honored each year and have included: Glen Campbell (who received last years Lifetime Achievement Award) Tom Petty, Pat Benatar, Grace Slick, Dick VanDyke, Colby Callait, and many others. This year, ReverbNation artists have an opportunity to have their song(s) selected and win: - A recording contract towards the production of a 3-song EP
- Overnight accommodations in Malibu during the event
- The Malibu Music Award Trophy
In addition to the prizes awarded by the Malibu Music Awards, 12 ReverbNation artists will be selected to perform at the pre-show and during the actual event. All artists submissions will receive free entry to Entry 1 of the Maibu Music Awards. This is the non-seated section with access to the bar area and food. Regular admission is $50.00. Additional performance details: Full PA, Drum set , Bass, Guitar amps, and Keyboard (Hammond B3*) will be supplied to artists Selection Criteria: Originality, Emotional Connection, Lyrics, Best fit in their genre, 2 song submission required
